What we log
- Connection details your device transmits on each visit: the IP address, a rough region inferred from that address, the user-agent string and the pages requested.
- The answer you give on the cookie panel, saved locally on your device.
- Whatever an email to us contains, contact-form drafts included (name, address, subject, wording).
- Where advertising storage is allowed, a referral tag that links a reservation to this website.
Why, and on what legal ground
- Security and hosting: logs that help keep the site online and spot abuse, under legitimate interests.
- Analytics: understanding which chapters readers open, only with consent.
- Marketing and referral tracking: letting partners credit reservations, only with consent.
- Correspondence: replying to your messages, under legitimate interests or at your request.
UK GDPR rights
The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 let you request access to what we hold, correction of mistakes, deletion, a pause on processing, an objection to it, a machine-readable copy, and withdrawal of consent (earlier processing stays lawful). The Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk handles complaints; we would still like to hear from you first so we can try to fix the problem.
EU and EEA visitors
Readers in the EU or EEA hold matching rights under the EU GDPR and can approach their national supervisory body as well.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
Californian readers can ask which categories of personal information we have and their sources, have records fixed or removed, and stop Gaming Realms from selling their data or handing it over for cross-context behavioural advertising. No personal information is sold for cash. Declining advertising storage, or browsing with GPC on, counts as opting out of sharing, and nobody gets a worse version of the site for using these options.
Retention periods
Hosting logs are purged roughly every 90 days. Correspondence is held for a maximum of two years from the final message, longer only where a statute demands it. Your banner answer expires after twelve months and the question is then asked afresh.
Minors
Everything here is written for people of 18 and over. If you think someone younger has written to us, tell the privacy inbox and we will delete what they sent.
How to ask
Send a note to privacy@fastbreakleaguein.com naming the right concerned. Before acting we might need proof that the request is yours; a reply normally follows within a calendar month.
